Shift’s Available : Days Employment Type : Per Diem/PRN Hours : 12 hour shifts, 7:00a – 7:00p Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) , internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Medical Surgical Unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Med Surg Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care. www.riverviewregional.com
Responsibilities

- Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
- Meets the communication needs of the patient and family
- Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- IV certification Additional
