ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use Truck Builder software to layout and assemble each trailer. Analyze the output to ensure that loads are built to maximize both safety and efficiency while loading and unloading product .
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the proper supply of all necessary materials to facilitate successful loading and unloading processes. Order supplies as needed.
  • Respond to all driver concerns regarding loads built with Truck Builder. Adjust loads as necessary to address concerns and maximize efficiency.
  • Assist in loading trailers as needed to meet daily production goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager. RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal: Selectors, drivers, clerks, managers
  • External: Customers, sales WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work will take place at a desk in an office environment and within normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (1pm to 9pm) Education
  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • One year of experience in a warehouse preferred. Certifications/Training
  • Experience with Truck Builder software preferred Why US Foods

Compensation

depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds).
