Project Engineers at ICI are responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, both on-site and office based, from preconstruction through final closeout and must be willing to travel .  Extended travel to project sites throughout the US may be required. Some of the specific core responsibilities of a Project Engineer include:
  • Works with the Project Team to develop, drive and implement project goals
  • Participates in New Project Setup
  • Assists and supports the Project Manager in preparing and processing Owner and Vendor Contracts
  • Attends project meetings and prepares / distributes agendas and minutes in a timely manner
  • Receives and Processes Design Documents
  • Assists and supports the team developing site utilization programs
  • Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and policies
  • Assists and supports the team with procuring building permits and coordinating inspections
  • Maintains Project Directory
  • Maintains and coordinates submittal review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, etc.
  • Maintains and distributes all project files
  • Assists and supports the team with preparation and monitoring of RFI’s
  • Maintains system to expedite construction materials, deliveries and equipment lists
  • Assists and supports the team with change events, vendor estimates and proposals
  • Prepares appropriate company estimates and proposals for changes
  • Manages the punch list process
  • Manages the Closeout Process
  • Maintains open, responsive, and professional communication and relationships with all team members
  • Maintains adherence to OSHA Standards of safety Skills and Competencies:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain the Walmart Safety, Employment, Waste, Stormwater Compliance Certification
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification or an ability to obtain Physical

Requirements

  • Position requires walking on rough/uneven terrain, frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying and often awkward sizes, shapes, and weights, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing on the job site.
  • Sitting, standing and walking for extended periods. Climbing multiple flights of stairs and ladders repeatedly.
  • Occasionally may lift to 50 lbs.
