Job description
Schedule: Available to work between 10am-9pm. Every other weekend and every other holiday is required. You will be scheduled for 8.5 hours shifts. Examples of shifts are: 10a-6:30p, 10:45a-7:15p, 12p-8:30p JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Cooking & Food Prep
- Prepare meals using recipes and proper cooking techniques
- Use kitchen equipment (mixers, slicers, ovens, etc.) to prepare food
- Cook a variety of foods (bake, grill, fry, steam, etc.)
- Taste and adjust food to ensure quality and flavor
- Portion meals correctly for patients and guests Planning & Preparation
- Review menus and production sheets to plan meals
- Prepare ingredients (wash, cut, season, etc.)
- Ensure food is ready on time for service Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all food safety and cleanliness standards
- Maintain proper food temperatures and storage
- Follow Department of Health and infection control guidelines
- Keep work areas clean and organized Customer Service
- Provide friendly, respectful service to patients, staff, and visitors
- Follow CARES service standards Safety & Compliance
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines
- Report any safety concerns
- Attend required training and in-services JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of cooking experience in a hospital, nursing home, or similar setting Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent Primary Location Burnet Campus Schedule Full time Shift Rotating (United States of America) Department Food Services Employee Status Regular FTE 1 Weekly Hours 40 *Expected Starting Pay Range *Annualized pay may vary based on FTE status $16.65 - $19.80
