Our Pulmonary team is the largest respiratory care department in the enterprise, serving patients with the highest levels of acuity. Respiratory Therapists (RTs) in this unit work at the full scope of their licensure—with a high level of independence and clinical decision-making. A caregiver in this position will work nights, 7:00PM - 7:30AM for 7 days, and then they will be off for 7 days. This will include rotating weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

- S t a y c u r r e n t w i t h t h e l a t e s t e v i d e n c e - b a s e d p r a c t i c e s a n d p a r t i c i p a t e i n c o n t i n u i n g e d u c a t i o n o p p o r t u n i t i e s . Minimum qualifications include:
- Associate's Degree and graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Previous experience in adult critical care
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Bachelor’s Degree Physical
Requirements
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.
- May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment:
