Job Summary

Summary

Maintains inventory supplies for Central Supply and distributes to all hospital locations as well as to offsite locations. Essential Duties and

Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
  • Receives product from Materials Handlers and stores appropriately in Central Supply using FIFO methods.
  • Fills requisitions coming to Central Supply and delivers them the same day.
  • Inventories and stocks par locations within the hospital.
  • Cycle counts, expiration checks, yearend inventory counts, maintain crash carts, maintain oxygen size E for hospital use, tracks rental equipment such as bed rental and wound vac rental.
  • Demonstrates proper phone etiquette.
  • Computer experience with current Alscripts software and use of handheld scanners.
  • Cross trained to Materials Handler position if needed.
  • Other duties as consistent with this role. Job

Requirements

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • 1-3 years Warehouse and/or Hospital experience preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Education preferred An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements. Working Conditions/Physical Demands Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.  Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
