Overview
Element Lafayette has an opportunity for a Field Technician/Driver to be a part of our growing team. This position supports our Element Materials Technology laboratory located in Lafayette, LA. Element Lafayette specializes in a comprehensive suite of environmental testing, including bioassay and GLP-compliant toxicity testing, RCRA, wastewater, NPDES, UST, ground water, RECAP, 29-B testing, and air/emissions analysis.

Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect environmental samples, invoices, and reports to and from various field sites, clients, and project offices.
- Prepare sampling containers and field equipment for testing.
- Perform basic short hold-time field tests
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including Chain of Custody documentation.
- Accurately log samples into the laboratory’s LIMS and label each with a unique identification number.
- Transport collected samples to appropriate storage locations within the lab.
- Interact professionally with customers and project managers; promptly report any quality or documentation issues.
- Assist with receiving of supplies and freight when on site.
- Travel to various project sites and offices to support route sampling.
- Maintain the company vehicle in safe, roadworthy condition; ensure all maintenance and logs are documented.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid light vehicle driving license for the country/state of operation
- Good English skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and work under pressure
