Join Team Purple. Join IFS. Job Description As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead customer discovery and strategy for IFS Copperleaf Asset Investment Planning platform, serving 140+ enterprise customers across electric utilities, water and wastewater, natural gas, and transportation asset-intensive industries.
The urgency around capital planning has intensified: aging infrastructure, regulatory mandates, re-industrialization, onshoring, and data-center expansion are all competing for limited capital. Our platform helps utilities and infrastructure operators model investment scenarios, optimize capital allocation, and make evidence-based decisions at the pace and scale these challenges demand. Your role bridges customer insight and product strategy globally.
You will spend 25% of your time forward-deployed with customers across North America, Europe, Middle East, and Australia, engaging at user summits and IFS Connect events. You will gather feedback from customers and partners, validate product direction, and translate evidence into roadmap strategy. The remaining 75% of your time, you will drive product strategy, manage cross-functional execution with Design, Engineering, and Customer Success teams, and own the investment case and market analysis for your product area.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct customer discovery and co-creation at 140+ enterprise accounts across utilities and asset-intensive sectors. Understand workflows, regulatory constraints, capital planning processes, and investment priorities.
- Work forward-deployed with customers (25% travel) across global regions. Validate solutions in real-world contexts and translate evidence into product strategy.
- Engage with customers at regional and global user summits and IFS Connect events to gather feedback, validate roadmap direction, and strengthen relationships.
- Work directly with our partner ecosystem including systems integrators and consultants. Ensure partners have the tools, documentation, and support to deliver and enable our platform.
- Partner with Design and UX teams to ensure features are intuitive, user-centric, and solve real problems for regulated utilities.
- Own the commercial and strategic case for your product area: market analysis, competitive positioning, financial projections, and customer value models.
- Translate customer and partner evidence into a prioritized, outcome-driven roadmap that balances customer needs, business impact, and market opportunity.
- Define clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria based on customer validation.
- Drive go-to-market readiness through positioning, sales plays, partner enablement, and customer success support tailored to utilities' long sales cycles.
- Close commitments on agreed dates, hold quality standards, and make decisions about when to ship versus iterate.

- Proven customer discovery and co-creation capability; comfort working embedded with customers.
- Strong collaboration with Design and UX teams; demonstrated experience in user-centric product development.

- Skilled in financial modeling, market analysis, and business case creation.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
