Job description
AWS is seeking a senior category marketing manager for security messaging and storytelling. In this role, you will create the messaging and stories that shape how the market perceives AWS as the company to secure the agentic era. This is the narrative for AWS as an Enterprise Security company. You will bring together evidence, proof points, and technical differentiators from across the organization into a unified story that resonates with CISOs, analysts, regulators, and technical decision-makers. Rather than marketing individual security services, you would operate at the platform level, articulating why AWS's infrastructure design, operational practices, investment in isolation technologies, encryption-by-default philosophy, compliance rigor, and security services make it the most trusted foundation for sensitive workloads, including AI and agentic. Your work will include developing executive messaging frameworks, keynote storylines, analyst-facing narratives, white papers, and customer-ready content that connect AWS's security culture, engineering principles, AI infrastructure protections, and security services into a clear competitive advantage. You would partner across security engineering, compliance, product teams, product marketing, analyst relations, and field enablement to keep the story grounded in real differentiation, while tracking competitor claims and industry shifts to ensure AWS's security positioning remains sharp, credible, and compelling at every customer touchpoint. Key job responsibilities Messaging & Positioning
- Own the core messaging architecture for AWS as an Enterprise Security company
- Develop positioning for multiple buyer personas: CISOs, security operations leaders, security engineers, and functional executives.
- Lead messaging for agentic-era security, including agent and workflow identity, detection and response at machine speed, and protection against AI-specific attack surfaces, framing AWS as the company defining the frameworks others don't yet have. Storytelling & Content
- Write high-impact content: executive narratives, white papers, blog posts, customer stories, and launch messaging.
- Turn technical capabilities into business narratives that resonate with security buyers who think in terms of risk, compliance, and operational continuity.
- Partner with PR and thought leadership teams to develop a consistent AWS Security voice across external channels. Field & Marketing Enablement
- Produce messaging guides, competitive positioning briefs, and objection-handling frameworks for field teams.
- Support analyst relations (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) with sharp positioning and briefing content that moves AWS in key evaluations.
- Build and maintain a library of messaging assets that enables consistent storytelling across PR, AR, digital, and field. Market Intelligence
- Monitor market perception data and analyst reports to track whether the security narrative is landing.
- Track competitor claims and industry shifts to keep AWS's security-of-the-cloud positioning sharp and credible.
