We are seeking a CNC Machinist with structural steel fabrication experience to operate CNC machinery and produce accurate steel components. The ideal candidate can read technical drawings, work with hand and power tools, and troubleshoot equipment in a production environment. Overview

We are seeking a CNC Machinist with structural steel fabrication experience to operate CNC machinery and produce accurate steel components. The ideal candidate can read technical drawings, work with hand and power tools, and troubleshoot equipment in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run CNC machinery used in structural steel production, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines .
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine machining and production requirements.
  • Operate hand and power tools for machining and assembly work.
  • Make machine adjustments to maintain proper performance, dimensions, and accuracy.
  • Inspect completed components to verify they meet design and structural specifications.
  • Identify equipment problems and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Enter production information and maintain accurate records in Global Shop (ERP system) .
  • Work with other team members to maintain safe, organized, and efficient shop operations.

Qualifications

  • Structural steel fabrication experience is required.
  • Experience operating CNC equipment, specifically combination mill/lathe and drill line machines .
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools .
  • Strong computer skills; Global Shop or similar ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
