Specialist - Cost Accounting

Overview

The Cost Accounting Specialist is responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, investment analysis, OPEX budget management, month-end close.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Assist with month-end close and financial reports
• Manage and assist budgets for all departments
• Assist managers with yearly/long-term business planning
• Monitor intercompany transactions and perform reconciliation as needed
• Handle Warranty Allowance
• Prepare quarterly inventory valuation
• Assist external auditors with quarterly and annual audits by providing requested information
• Product Life Cycle profitability management for new models
• Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
• Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
• Overtime and weekend work as required
• All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

(The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.) Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• At least 1 year of experience in Finance or Accounting field Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Ability to organize and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to research, evaluate, and resolve problems
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Preferred Education & Experience:
• Manufacturing costing experience
• SAP experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Working Conditions
• 100% of work in office environment
• Overtime as needed for monthly closing
