  • Partner with doctors during wellness, sick-patient, urgent, surgical, and dental cases
  • Triage incoming patients and provide attentive nursing care for stable and hospitalized pets
  • Collect and process blood, urine, cytology, and other laboratory samples
  • Obtain digital full-body and dental radiographs and assist with ultrasound and ECG workflows
  • Place IV catheters, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare surgical patients, assist during procedures, monitor anesthesia, and support recovery
  • Use compassionate handling and low-stress techniques with every patient
  • Explain treatment plans, preventive care, medications, and discharge instructions clearly to pet parents

Qualifications

We’re Looking For:

  • An experienced veterinary technician with at least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting
  • A current LVT, CVT, or RVT or a NY State credential-eligible vet tech
  • Weekend shift availability is required for this position
  • A calm, compassionate teammate who communicates openly and respectfully
  • A self-starter who arrives prepared, notices what needs doing, and follows through
  • Confidence with low-stress restraint, venipuncture, sample processing, and patient monitoring
  • Experience with radiology, dental imaging, anesthesia, surgery, and hospitalized patient care
  • Comfort in a busy general practice where priorities can change quickly
  • A relationship-builder who enjoys educating clients and earning trust
