Position

Overview

The Buyer supports the Supply Chain team in the procurement of materials, parts, and services to ensure timely delivery at the right quality and cost. Position Location:  On-site, Benshaw, 615 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 Hours : Monday through Friday, 40 hours This is a temporary, hourly position employed directly by Benshaw. The role is not eligible for company benefits, including medical coverage, PTO, or other standard full-time benefits.

While there may be an opportunity for conversion to a regular full-time, benefits-eligible position based on business needs and individual performance, such conversion is not guaranteed Job

Responsibilities

  • Issue and manage purchase orders for assigned commodities in accordance with production schedules and inventory requirements
  • Communicate with suppliers on order status, delivery dates, and any supply issues or discrepancies
  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery
  • Support supplier data entry and maintenance in IFS ERP system
  • Assist in reviewing RFQ packages and gathering competitive quotes from approved suppliers
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Planning, Engineering, and Receiving to resolve supply issues
  • Help identify alternate suppliers or components when lead times are at risk
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related administrative role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Desired
