Overview
T his position is located at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department) Work hour shifts range from 8 to 12 hours shifts and may range from 0700-1900, 1100-2300. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary Range: $93,782 to - $121,919 per year Ft.
Eisenhower is adjacent to Augusta, GA famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft. Eisenhower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains.
Responsibilities
As a Nurse (Clinical/Emergency) you will:
- Interview and takes medical histories, to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient.
- Perform triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements.
- Observe, monitor, and assess patient's condition.
- Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
- Function as a charge nurse on a rotational basis.
- Conduct and participate in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of facility, departmental, or unit-based programs.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.
Qualifications
US Citizen
- Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. Active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. All Health Care Providers must possess and maintain current Basic Life
- Support (BLS) Training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA). Current
- Advanced Life
- Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
