This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating employees, production, equipment, materials, scheduling, quality, and deliveries. The Foreman will help keep shop operations productive and organized while working with internal teams and other fabrication locations to meet project and delivery requirements.

We are hiring an experienced Welding & Fabrication Foreman to lead second-shift operations in a structural steel fabrication environment. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating employees, production, equipment, materials, scheduling, quality, and deliveries. The Foreman will help keep shop operations productive and organized while working with internal teams and other fabrication locations to meet project and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support welders, fitters, and other shop employees
- Coordinate daily fabrication and production activities
- Oversee shop personnel, equipment, tools, and materials
- Maintain production and fabrication schedules
- Coordinate material and product deliveries
- Develop and maintain standard fabrication procedures
- Monitor product quality and enforce quality control procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, employee performance, and quality
- Work with project management, logistics, purchasing, and other departments to meet project deadlines
- Communicate product status, quality issues, and delivery needs with other departments and facilities
- Maintain shop equipment and building areas as needed
- Develop effective working relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Maintain an appropriate workload across the shop and communicate production needs to management
- Monitor inventory levels in coordination with other shift leadership and purchasing
- Adjust work hours when necessary to support delivery schedules
- Enforce company policies and make decisions that support company objectives
Qualifications
- Structural steel fabrication industry experience required
- Leadership/foreman experience overseeing welders and fitters required
- Managerial or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of the structural steel fabrication industry
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Available to work 2nd shift, overtime, and Saturdays as needed
