JOB DESCRIPTION Position
Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. You will play a critical role in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems
- Support equipment changeovers and complete scheduled PMs
- Diagnose and resolve issues in a live production environment
- Perform quality checks to ensure equipment meets production standards
- Work closely with maintenance, production, and support teams to minimize downtime
- Complete all required training in compliance with Adient and customer standards
Qualifications
& Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Requires at least 3 years of relevant field experience.
- Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor is a plus
- Prior experience as a Millwright, Electrician, or Machine Repair Technician in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Experience in automotive sheet metal stamping preferred
- Experience with large transfer and progressive dies is a plus
- Working knowledge of PLCs
- Able to work Second Shift: 1:45 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. Physical & Work
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift
