Summary

Provides spiritual care to patients, their family members and organizational staff experiencing challenge or crisis. Job Description: This position will be split, offering coverage at MaineGeneral Hospital and the Cancer Care Center in Augusta. Performs spiritual care visits, public worship services and outreach services in assigned areas or to specific faith groups as needed/requested.

Assesses and responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement. Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care and patient health. Documents visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization.
