- Tuition Reimbursement Pay: The annual rate for this position is between $102,544.00 – $133,120.00 per year.Fa ct ors which may affe ct starting pay within this ran ge may include ge ography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform acceptance, maintenance and commissioning testing of various electrical power apparatus including Circuit Breakers, Transformers, Instrument Transformers, Grounding Systems, SF6 Interrupters, Meters, Relays, Motor Control Centers, SCADA Systems inside electrical substations.
- Perform installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of protective relaying equipment.
- Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panel, transformers and circuit breaker change-outs.
- Perform end-to-end relay testing using Doble ProTest software or Protection Suite.
- Develop written standard commissioning, testing and maintenance procedures for protective relaying.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related and 3 years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing protective relays on high voltage substations.
- Must have experience in each of the following skills: Installing, maintaining, and testing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and similar equipment; Trouble shooting distribution and transmission controls circuits; Power DB Software; Accelerator quick set software; Omicron test universal; Equipment – DILO, Megger, Vanguard, and VLF HiPot; GE Enervista, SEL, Eaton, and Basler; Software – AutoCAD, Schneider Ion Power Logic, Janitza GridVis, and Digsi-Siemens; Reading and interpreting power system studies including short circuits, protective device coordination, load flow analysis, electrical blueprints, three-line drawings, protection and control schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
