Job description
Overview
As a Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech II, you’ll be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Distribution Center equipment. This position is also responsible for assisting with facility repairs as needed. This Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech II is expected to be proactive and can perform their work at a high level with minimum supervision.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for following all Safety policies in compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards and Programs
- Perform tasks to increase Equipment Uptime and Reliability
- Perform periodic Preventative Maintenance tasks
- Provide troubleshooting skills to make mechanical/electrical repairs to equipment
- Communicate issues/improvements/ideas between department members and Supervision
- Responsible for reviewing Corrective Work Orders via Smartsheets or CMMS software and update as required
- Troubleshoot equipment/machinery to determine issue and repair in a safe/timely manner
- Light Fabrication Work as needed
- Work alongside the Operations team in resolving equipment issues
Qualifications
- Follow Safety Policies and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance
- Ability to perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
- Knowledge and ability to understand Electrical/Mechanical Drawings
- Experience repairing complex equipment/machinery
- Knowledge and experience with computers (Ability to research parts, machines, etc.)
- Strong Work Ethic
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Ability to complete tasks timely DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Working toward or have received a Technical Degree or Equivalent
- Problem solving experience
- Knowledge in Continuous Improvement (Improve equipment with new designs/modifications)
- 5+ Years of Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Experience Rain Bird is an equal opportunity employer.
