The Facilities Assistant provides support for all employees regarding flow of office materials. Handles all office details not specific to any other department.

Completes all scheduled or assigned building and vehicle maintenance tasks, as well as internal office furniture moves. Based on business needs also handles receivables.

Responsibilities

include: Maintains building operations pertaining to maintenance issues Distributes incoming packages and oversees outgoing packages and mail Inspects assigned facilities regularly and performs required maintenance tasks to keep facility clean and orderly Maintains inventory of all supplies Handles all building security issues and maintains access system Ensures all O.S.H.A. guidelines and requirements are adequately being met Manages all company vehicles and the transportation of people and items Moves furniture and equipment when needed Responds to facility-related emergencies when assigned Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent 2 years of office operations or general work experience. May include light general building maintenance, shipping systems operations, OSHA Regulations/safety compliance and mailroom experience

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of shipping service operations and software (ie: FedEx, UPS, etc) General knowledge of building and maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC and construction codes)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and requirements, fire code restrictions and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) specifications Basic understanding of security systems and how they operate Maturity and good judgment candidates have shipping/receiving experience--computer skills, prior FedEx/UPS system experience a plus.
