Qualifications

• Bachelor's
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. * 5 or more years of experience in a Software Engineer, Software Developer, and/or Programmer role using Java with a focus on backend/database, and Big Data solutions *
• Demonstrated skill across Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, Lucene, Solr, SOAP, REST, and social media APIs * Previous experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL RDBMS environments and their scaling challenges. Previous experience using AWS, cloud and elastic storage *
• Demonstrated object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns *
• Demonstrated skills across Native Language Processing (NLP), data mining, and social media data mining *
• Demonstrated expedience delivering real-time massive-scale heterogeneous distributed database management systems and demonstrated skill across ETL processes *
• Deep familiarity with a combination of open source data, cloud based, big data tools *
• Experience throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment *
