Position

Overview

  • Department: Rehab Services
  • Schedule: Work when full-time staff are on PTO and during times of high patient census.
  • Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Blount

What You Will Do

Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.

  • Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
  • Document treatment interventions given.
  • May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. Required
  • Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Required. Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
