Overview
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and other motorized equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, hands-on experience with multiple technical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, and motorized equipment .
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems and determine appropriate repairs.
- Diagnose and work on hydraulic, electronic, small engine, and A/C systems .
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to help keep equipment operational.
- Complete repair orders with accurate mileage, operating hours, dates, and descriptions of work performed.
- Coordinate with the Shop Foreman when prioritizing emergency or time-sensitive repairs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in a safe and organized condition.
- Follow company safety requirements and applicable procedures.
- Travel as needed for work assignments, training, meetings, or other business-related activities.
- Work efficiently under pressure and help minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform other maintenance and repair duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience with heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, cranes, or similar machinery.
- 5+ years of experience in at least two technical areas , such as:
- Hydraulics
- Electronics
- Small engines
- Air conditioning
- Other related mechanical systems
- High school diploma or GED.
- Trade school, dealership, or factory service training in diesel/mechanical repair equivalent to an associate degree.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and complete maintenance documentation accurately.
- Professional certifications related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Physical

& Work Environment
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking, sitting, and standing.
- Regular lifting of materials and parts weighing up to 50 pounds .
- Assistance is required for heavier items or loads that present lifting or ergonomic challenges.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Extended hours may be required based on operational needs.
