Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: St. Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an RN to join our nursing team in our Operating Room! Employment Type: Full-Time, Day Shift The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team. Perioperative Nursing Skills

  • Assist scrub nurse; perform scrub duties as needed
  • Prepare OR: supplies, equipment, sterile packs, medications
  • Maintain records; ensure compliance with safety, asepsis, and Universal Protocol Proficient in Meditech; troubleshoot and operate unit-specific equipment
  • Handle specimens, implants, and instruments per policy
  • Provide patient/family support in high-stress settings; post-mortem care Use and update surgeon preference cards; maintain OR stock
  • Communicate with charge RN; act as resource for surgical team
  • Assist anesthesia with intubations

Requirements

Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred Current DE or Compact State RN License required Current BCLS required or obtained by completion of orientation ACLS required or obtained by completion of orientation if Applicable to Area of Practice 2 years perioperative nursing experience preferred or Successful completion of a perioperative nursing course including didactic and clinical rotations CNOR certification preferred We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage Retirement Savings Program Paid Time Off DailyPay Tuition Reimbursement Free Parking And more!
