Overview
Sodexo is seeking Clinical Dietitians to support Adventist HealthCare in Maryland. We have two opportunities available:
- Multi-site Clinical Dietitian: Support Shady Grove Medical Center (Rockville, MD), White Oak Medical Center (Silver Spring, MD), and Fort Washington Medical Center (Fort Washington, MD). The dietitian will provide coverage at all three locations as needed but will be assigned to only one facility per workday.
- Full-Time Clinical Dietitian – Shady Grove Medical Center: Dedicated exclusively to Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD, serving as a key member of the clinical nutrition team. We welcome applications from both experienced registered dietitians and new graduates seeking to build their clinical expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy for hospitalized patients across diverse inpatient populations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Exercise order-writing privileges in accordance with hospital policies, approved protocols, and state regulations
- Perform nutrition-focused physical exams and identify patients at risk for malnutrition to support timely intervention
- Document nutrition care, recommendations, and patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards

- Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN) or eligible
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Maryland

Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
