POSITION SPECIFICS The   Bharti lab   at   The Pennsylvania State University , in the   Department of Biology   and the   Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics , is recruiting a highly motivated   Postdoctoral Scholar   to conduct research for an NIH-NSF funded project on human health, movement, and infectious diseases. Successful applicants will have experience in:
  • Either   spatial analysis using GIS   or   disease modeling in R and/or Python
  • Statistics
  • Data analysis
  • Communication (written and verbal) This does not mean you need expertise in these areas but rather that you have some base knowledge upon which you can build expertise. There will be plenty of opportunities for learning necessary skills on the job. Education and Experience The position requires a completed Ph.D. degree in Biology, Geography, Epidemiology, Ecology, or a related field, which includes Math and Statistics. Creative, interdisciplinary thinkers interested in human health and infectious diseases research are encouraged to apply. Application
