Job Summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Proposal Writer to join its Proposal Development Team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Proposal Development and be responsible for writing technical proposals for Astrobotic’s commercial spacecraft delivery services and spacecraft systems. This position is ideal for candidates with engineering or science backgrounds who are interested in flexing their creative skillset more.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team to develop technically credible, convincing, and competitive aerospace proposals for NASA, the DoW, and other government and civilian customers.
  • Draft original content for proposals, including product descriptions, technical specifications, and performance requirements.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather technical information and incorporate it into proposals.
  • Review technical documentation and convert it into polished and credible proposal content.
  • Work with graphic designers to create compelling visual representations of technical content.
  • Assemble, review, and edit proposals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Rework proposal content to address feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage document assembly, layout, and formatting using Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and related software programs.
  • Create and maintain document templates, boilerplate copy, finished proposal libraries.
  • Create and manage compliance checklists to ensure document requirements are being met. Required Skills &

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as engineering, the physical sciences, or a related area.
  • 2+ years of experience working in the aerospace industry or a related field.
  • Conversant in the language of engineers and scientists (ability to read graphs, mathematical expressions, units, technical jargon, etc.)
  • Prior experience writing technical proposals, white papers, or reports.
  • The creativity to communicate technical topics through both prose and graphics.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to identify and correct technical, logical, and other errors.
  • Excellent writing ability, including a strong command of grammar, flow, tone, and conciseness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong drive to deliver, improve, and succeed.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines for multiple overlapping projects. Desired Skills &

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of spacecraft systems and engineering principles.
  • Prior experience writing competitive proposals for funding. The good faith base salary range $70,000 - $105,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
