Job Summary
As the Pharmacy Technician I I , you assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. You will accept new orders from the prescriber, enter the information in the electronic record, and prepare and affix labels REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education : High School Diploma or equivalent, 18 years of age. License :
- OHIO:
- Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy Certified Technician License OR
- Ohio Board of Pharmacy Intern license and P2 status in schooling
- MICHIGAN:
- Active Michigan Board of Pharmacy Technician License OR
- Michigan Board of Pharmacy Intern license and P2 status in schooling Certification :
- Certified Pharmacy Technician required (either PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted), unless has intern license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills : Knowledge of medical terminology WORKING CONDITIONS Personal Protective Equipment: Will wear appropriate PPE when compounding nonsterile, sterile, and hazardous products. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift materials up to 50 pounds. Non-material handling of continuous sitting and reaching, standing, squatting, kneeling, walking, and stairs. Frequent manual manipulations that may affect hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Must be able to move about and between workstations.
