Job Description Position: Mechatronics Engineer Location: Detroit, MI Duration: Fulltime Mandatory Requirement:
- 5+ to 10 Years of Industrial experience
- Mechanical and Electrical Component Design
- Concept Designing
- Individual Component Designing (Plus)
- Experiment and Device Development
- R&D Experience
- Mechatronic experience Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Systems preferred).
- Previous experience with mechatronic systems (i.e. associated with multidisciplinary machinery, laboratory systems, test systems, manufacturing systems, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills enabling colleague to understand, implement customer/user needs and develop design and market requirements. Collect data, draw conclusions, develop and evaluate design solutions and alternatives. Make recommendations to management.
- Evidence of ability to understand and complete work taking a system point-of-view.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas and solutions to a wide variety of audiences.
- Evidence of ability to present information to project teams, management and manufacturing groups. Lead project teams for small to medium complexity projects.
- Proven organization and planning skills and the ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects, meeting budgetary and time goals.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals.
- Proficiency with computer tools including Microsoft Office, systems analysis and data management.
- Proven ability to work in both a team and individual capacity with limited supervision.
Preferred Skills
- Five (5) years of product and/or systems design experience in engineering or research and development
- Experience with 3D CAD tools and design
- Software development experience
