- Responsible for deploying Oracle quarterly patches
- Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation
- Work closely with other database administrators, system administrators, developers, testers and GDIT shipboard technicians on troubleshooting and resolving Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) technology stack issues.
- Collaborate with teammates onsite and through distant support using available and approved remote access tools
- Provide expert database administration support in a Hyper-V/VSphere virtualization environment. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Systems
- Certification(s): Security+, Oracle Database Administration and Windows OS
- Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience working as an Oracle/PeopleSoft DBA
- Required Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c/19c, PeopleTools, PepleSoft HCM/HRMS, WebLogic, Tuxedo, and shell/Windows scripting on multiple operating systems and network platforms.
- Working knowledge of Docker containerization running on a Linux (RHEL) platform , including building, configuring, and optimizing Docker images using Dockerfiles; managing container lifecycle operations (build, run, stop, restart, prune); creating and maintaining private container registries; implementing multi-stage builds and image layering strategies to reduce footprint; configuring container networking, volumes, and bind mounts; troubleshooting container runtime, networking, and resource utilization issues; and integrating containerized applications.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
