Job Description Items Administrator

  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met with the Network and Sourcing end user communities
  • Support continuing to have less than a 5 day turn-around time for new item creation requests
  • Support less than 24 hour turn-around time on direct Sourcing requests from the Sourcing Managers
  • Continue to drive direct vendor requests to the Sourcing team and/or regional business owner contact o 1. Drive users to central mailbox o 2. Reduce/eliminate direct e-mails and phone calls o 3. Drive established streamlined processes with end user community o 4. Create plan and begin implementation of price updates to the Item Master and escalate known issues to Management team o 5. Continue to drive users to adhere to Network Directives
  • Ensure accurate and timely review of items added, and that items attributes are in agreement with network and corporate policies Procurement (GCP 085) and Network CPS-103. Manage weekly item maintenance files
  • This includes sharing the management of the weekly items calls with team members
  • Actively support E-Quote and E-Items initiatives
  • Participate in Expand/ Collapse request review and meetings
  • Support Capital Equipment Procurement and Contract Compliance initiatives
  • Train in learning the e-Items process
  • Work with e-Item Vendor's to ensure smooth workflow of e-Items into PeopleSoft
  • Review e-Quote error report, Manage the e-Item workbench, update, maintain and trouble shoot any e-Item issues when required
  • Including but not limited to running validation and manual set up when necessary
  • Data Accuracy – Accurate, reliable and timely data is vital to effective decision-making in almost every aspect of Network projects/programs
  • It’s crucial to be consistent and accurate
  • We must ensure the accuracy of Network asset/inventory data and reports provide a reliable infrastructure for maintaining information o 1. Validate information between systems and reporting where ever possible o 2. Take action to correct data integrity issues within your area of responsibility

  • Experience with equipment/inventory management in telecommunications industry
  • Experience with item administration in telecommunications industry
  • Experience with network equipment procurement in telecommunications industry
  • Familiarity with supply chain principles
