Overview
We are hiring a Parts & Plates Foreman to oversee second-shift shop production and provide leadership to fabrication personnel. This role is responsible for coordinating employees, materials, equipment, production schedules, deliveries, and quality requirements to support efficient shop operations. The Foreman will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and other facilities to maintain production flow, address operational needs, and help ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Overview
We are hiring a Parts & Plates Foreman to oversee second-shift shop production and provide leadership to fabrication personnel. This role is responsible for coordinating employees, materials, equipment, production schedules, deliveries, and quality requirements to support efficient shop operations. The Foreman will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and other facilities to maintain production flow, address operational needs, and help ensure work is completed accurately and on time. Must Have:
- Structural steel fabrication industry experience
- Previous foreman, supervisor, or leadership experience
- Ability to work second shift, overtime, and Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support shop personnel during second-shift operations
- Coordinate daily fabrication activities, staffing, workload, and production priorities
- Maintain production and fabrication schedules
- Monitor quality, productivity, and adherence to safety and company procedures
- Coordinate material deliveries and communicate product status, quality, and delivery needs
- Work with project management, purchasing, logistics, other departments, and fabrication facilities to meet project deadlines
- Establish and maintain effective fabrication procedures and quality-control practices
- Monitor equipment, tools, buildings, and inventory
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels in coordination with management, purchasing, and first-shift leadership
- Work with vendors and suppliers as needed
- Adjust work hours and shop resources when necessary to meet delivery schedules
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, employee performance, and quality
- Provide operational updates and recommendations to management
Qualifications
- Supervisory or managerial experience required
- Strong knowledge of the structural steel fabrication industry
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to make sound decisions and manage competing production priorities
