• Strong Safety Culture, newer equipment, and excellent local leadership and great place to work! BASIC PURPOSE To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards. Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.). Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines. Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications. Other duties as assigned by manager. QUALIFICATIONS Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic. Must furnish own personal hand tools. Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide). Must possess a valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
• Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system Previous mechanical and PM program experience
• Experience using fleet maintenance software Welding ability WORK ENVIRONMENT Onsite : The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.

Compensation

depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $30 and $34.
