Summary

Blueprint Schools Network is partnering with Next Prep , to supporting high school students enrolled in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. As part of this partnership, we are hiring a specialized Blueprint Math Fellow to deliver targeted math tutoring to 11th and 12th-grade students. This role is centered on preparing 12th graders for career-trajectory certification exams (e.g., electrician and nursing entrance exams) and supporting 11th and 12th graders who need to recover 9th and 10th-grade math credits required for graduation.

The position operates across multiple high school sites in St. Louis. Instruction is a hybrid model delivered on-site at a school facility : you will provide direct, in-person small-group support at one site and conduct remote tutoring sessions from a school site to support students located at another school site.

• Start Date & Duration: Begins in October. Operates across two 10-week cohorts through the end of the academic year, with an approximate 3-week winter break between cohorts.

Responsibilities

Instruction & Student Support

• Deliver targeted, small-group math instruction to 11th and 12th-grade students using provided curriculum and specialized exam prep materials.
• Prepare students for career certification exams (e.g., electrician, nursing) and assist students in recovering 9th/10th-grade math credits needed for graduation.
• Provide direct in-person tutoring at assigned STL high school sites and lead remote tutoring sessions from a school campus to reach students at secondary partner sites.
• Adapt instructional strategies to support varying student needs, fostering critical thinking, self-confidence, and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor, record, and analyze student academic data and attendance daily to track progress toward learning goals. Planning & Collaboration
• Implement daily and weekly lesson plans tailored to targeted math competencies and CTE goals.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, Next Prep staff, and Blueprint Site Managers to align tutoring with student CTE coursework and graduation requirements.
• Participate in collaborative planning sessions, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Compliance, Attendance & Logistics
• Commute reliably between designated STL high school sites during the school day to fulfill instructional schedules.
• Maintain strict attendance and punctuality standards, clocking in/out daily using the ADP Mobile Solutions App.
• Follow all Blueprint and partner school policies, district behavioral expectations, and student confidentiality laws (FERPA). Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills Required
• Math Content Expertise: High proficiency in high school mathematics (up to 12th-grade standards, algebra, geometry, and applied math for trades/vocational fields).
• Transportation: Access to reliable personal transportation to travel between multiple STL high school sites during the workday.
• Education: Currently enrolled in, previously enrolled in, or completed an associate’s degree or higher.
• Remote Tutoring Experience: Prior experience delivering remote/virtual instruction or tutoring is strongly preferred (sessions will be conducted from a school site).
• Adolescent Engagement: Strong desire and ability to build positive, supportive relationships with 11th and 12th-grade students.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Google Suite applications and educational technology platforms for remote instruction and data tracking.
• Adaptability: Entrepreneurial spirit with the flexibility to navigate multi-site logistics and a hybrid instructional model.
• Clearances: Ability to successfully pass Blueprint and partner school district pre-employment background screenings.
• Work Authorization: Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States. ADA Physical

• Position involves sitting, standing, and moving between instructional spaces (approx. 50% sitting / 50% standing).
• Frequent travel/commuting between assigned school sites within the local STL area.
