Overview

TITLE: Social Worker – Area Services DEPARTMENT : Administration REPORTS TO: Associate Kroc Center Administrators SUPERVISES: N/A STATUS: Non-Exempt SCHEDULE: Part- Time FUNCTION: This person will be the point person in the distribution of financial support given by The Salvation Army in Xenia. They will do this under the direction of the Kroc Center Administrator. They will take phone calls, do assessments, meet with clients and potential clients, keep detailed records, and distribute funds following the guidelines set in place.

They will provide excellent service to all who participate in functions held at the Kroc Center. In conjunction, they will keep as a priority, the promoting the Christian faith and values in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

DUTIES: To provide food support services to the general public Case Management:

• Responsible to provide case management services
• Track / keep current records on clients
• Screen individuals/families for assistance
• Responsible for c0mpleting all required documentation for case records and in maintaining these files current
• Provide Kroc Center administration with monthly statistics
• Track dollars spent and remain within budget Other Duties:
• Network with other agencies on assistance available
• Track and report working hours and report on a bi-weekly basis
• Coordinate all Christmas Kettle locations and workers in Xenia area
• Liaison for The Salvation Army with United Way in Greene County
• To assist with all other special events that deal with support given to the community Any other duties deemed necessary by the Kroc Center Administrators

• Strong creative and communication skills
• Administrative skills
• Experience in networking with others
• Self motivated
