Position

Overview

BayCare Medical Group is a physician-led medical group seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) and experienced cardiac electrophysiologist to join our growing EP team at St. Joseph's North Hospital i n Lutz, Florida. The physician will provide comprehensive EP services including catheter ablations, device implantation/management, and consultative care for arrhythmia patients — in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of EP procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Catheter ablations (e.g. atrial fibrillation/flutter, SVT, VT)
  • Implantation, revision, replacement, or removal of cardiac devices (e.g. pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders)
  • Electrophysiology studies, device follow-ups, and management of cardiac rhythm disorders
  • Consultations for new patients in-clinic or hospital settings; inpatient consults and follow-up care as needed
  • Provide on-call coverage for EP-related emergencies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and allied health professionals to deliver multidisciplinary cardiac care
  • Participate in quality-improvement, patient safety, and continuous care-standard initiative
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, procedural notes, and device clinic records.

Qualifications

Position requires:

  • M.D. or D.O. (or equivalent medical degree) from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
  • Active (or eligible) medical license for practice in Florida.
  • Proven clinical and procedural experience in EP — including ablations, device implants, and management of complex arrhythmias.
  • Strong diagnostic, decision-making, and clinical judgment skills; thorough knowledge of cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac anatomy, arrhythmia management, device therapy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills — ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
