Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability Talk with users, discover their challenges, build innovative solutions Keep up with current conventions in the web development community.
• Research the latest technologies, identifying what is strength and what is fad. Skills:
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges Proficient understanding web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including JQuery Good understanding of a more advanced JavaScript library/framework such as AngularJS. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX Good understanding of the Agile process and tools that support the process, such as Jira.
• Familiarity with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, etc. Interest in design and/or user experience
• Familiarity with mockup tools such as Sketch, Balsamiq, InVision, etc.
• Understanding of modern aesthetic of visual style
