Job description
Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: *Maintains a safe and orderly par level. * Checks equipment with preventive maintenance, servicing as required for safe working conditions. * Insures equipment and supplies are available for emergency situations. * Under direct supervision of the surgeon and anesthesiologist, the bypass circuit is constructed in accordance to the OR standards of sterile technique. The patient is then placed on bypass. * Clinical perfusion is met according to calculated flows determined by the patient's weight, height, age and cardiac index. * Interprets various parameters, blood gas values, electrolyte balance, blood pressure, urinary output, gas and blood flow and fluid shifts. Information passed on to the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist. * Maintains accurate records that are timely and complete. * Maintains the bypass circuit to re-initiate safe bypass until authorized by the surgeon.
