Job description
Role Oversees various accounting tasks including posting and reconciliation. Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries, accounting classifications, and codes assigned to various records. Completes accounting functions including accounts payable, purchasing, and vendor management.
Processes onboarding and offboarding tasks as it relates to accounting and human resources for new and existing employees. Maintains and supports employee benefits enrollment. Major Duties and
Responsibilities
- Reconciles statements, invoices, general ledgers, and maintains documentation to ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with accounting standards, regulatory agencies, and auditors
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries, accounting classifications, and codes assigned to various records
- Completes accounts payable process
- Processes expense reports and purchase orders
- Participates in the preparation and maintenance of departmental budgets. Prepares monthly budget reports
- Maintains vendor management system and reports
- Provides information and assists employees with benefit enrollment, eligibility, plan features, provisions, and other matters related to employee benefits
- Completes certain accounting and HR related onboarding and offboarding tasks for new and existing employees
- Participates in special projects including internal audits and insurance reviews as assigned
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Follows established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy. Knowledge and Skills EXPERIENCE 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES A 4-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school requiring approximately 64 credit hours INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring.
