Our Diesel Mechanics start at $40.00 – $45.00/hour depending on experience!

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.).
- Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
- Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
- Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
- Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned by manager. SUPERVISION :
- N/A RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager.
- External: Dealer Service Managers. WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Onsite : The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
- Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
- Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must furnish own personal hand tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals. EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required. CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications LICENSES
- Must possess a valid driver’s license. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA & DOT regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
- Computer and software experience/ Noregon Diag Equip/A/C Recovery, Etc.
- Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
- Welding ability

Compensation
depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $40.00 -$45.00 This role may also receive o vertime compensation
