Duties,
Responsibilities
& Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities*: The Scientist is responsible for executing environmental studies and providing analysis to support project decision-making. This position conducts fieldwork, interprets data, and prepares comprehensive reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field studies, including sampling and data collection.
- Analyze data using statistical and scientific methods.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and regulators.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on environmental projects.
- Maintain project files, logs, and data sets.
- Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and consultants.
- Stay current on planning best practices and local regulations.
- Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.
- Achieve or exceed budgets individual utilization targets.
- Comply with all KCI policies and procedures.
- Ensure projects comply with ISO standards.

Qualifications
Education and/or Skills Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or related field.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and fieldwork methods.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in GIS software.
- Good communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically. Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to maintain required certifications Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
