Overview

This is a Direct Hire Opportunity . As a Machinist II (Mill) , you will operate and set up CNC milling machines, including 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills , to produce precision aerospace components. You will be responsible for machine setup, program adjustments, inspection, and ensuring all parts meet blueprint and quality specifications.

This role requires 5+ years of CNC milling experience and the ability to work independently in a cellular manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines and related equipment
  • Work with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mill machines
  • Make program edits and adjustments to ensure part accuracy
  • Operate multiple machines in a cellular production environment
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders
  • Apply proper feeds, speeds, and tooling selection
  • Inspect parts to ensure dimensional and quality compliance
  • Maintain accurate production records (counts, scrap, time, etc.)
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and coolant system upkeep
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety standards
  • Assist and support less experienced operators as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years CNC machining (milling experience required)
  • Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Must comply with ITAR/EAR regulations

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs regularly
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precision machining work
