Job Description MS NOW is looking for skilled cross-platform producers to field produce reporters and cover presidential candidates. The producers will be expected to travel based on campaign schedules and on short notice for extended periods and work a variety of shifts, including some weekends. You will be expected to work in partnership with on-air reporters to report and produce cross-platform content with an emphasis on written and video content.
The producers are expected to be a point of contact with campaigns and will be responsible for editorial dispatches from events (in conjunction with the embeds and reporters), turning written and video digital pieces, and setting up live shots. This is not just a logistics position, these producers are expected to be fully editorially involved in covering this campaign cycle.
Responsibilities
- Represent MS NOW at all times with integrity according to our policy and standards
- Ability to field produce, coordinate live-shots and book guests for shows
- Work with reporters and embeds to make sure candidate events and interviews are being covered as fully as possible and that the editorial information is making its way into the system in a timely fashion.
- Must be willing to work closely with reporters assigned to these candidates as well.
- Utilize all cross-platform field journalism skills including, but not limited to: shooting political events, providing live transmission, getting their assigned reporter on tv as well as other expected content creation.
- Element gather for shows/packages, write digital stories, and produce social media content.
- Contribute rolling content for all platforms in a breaking news environment
- Ability to develop sources
- Thrive under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments, ensuring smooth execution in the field and alignment with network standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of professional producing experience with an emphasis on field production
- Must have a Bachelor's degree Desired
Qualifications
- Strong interest in and enthusiasm for covering the 2028 campaign cycle in a fast-paced, field-based news environment.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. political landscape, current events, and public policy.
- Sound news judgment and commitment to fairness and accuracy
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex matters with ease
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and multi-task with speed and efficacy

Requirements
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadlines often with little or no warning (i.e. breaking news)
- Must be willing to travel a majority of the time
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid US driver's license and be willing to drive
- Must be willing to supply handles/screen names for all personal social media accounts
