Overview
Project Foreman Needed - Houston, TX ($2,500 Sign on Bonus!) We are currently seeking an Electrical Foreman with 5+ years of experience leading commercial and industrial electrical projects throughout the Houston area . Electrical Foremen are an integral part of our team and are responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the day-to-day execution of electrical work while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards. This role also serves as a leader in promoting a strong safety culture and maintaining compliance with all applicable safety policies and electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Train, manage and evaluate project team
- Ability to assist Strategic Account Manager to prepare construction schedules
- Create, influence, and maintain schedules for proper resource utilization and material usage
- Can plan and coordinate material and logistical needs of a project efficiently
- Create & maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety and incident reports
- Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the client to identify and resolve any conflicts
- Can effectively track production to meet/beat labor goals
- Plan, organize, and direct production in accordance with the contracted scope of work
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
- Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested material is expedited and received as needed for the construction of a project
- Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standards
- Ability to build and grow partnerships with clients for continued work
- Can build/design effective layout drawings and record drawings
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts
- Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and climbing as required by job duties
Qualifications
- Must maintain and enforce safety policies on jobsite
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience which includes leading large jobs in Industrial/Commercial industry
- Can oversee a crew of 10+ electricians
- Ability to manage/oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Active Journeyman’s License required
- Proficient with the National Electrical Code
- Exposure to Bluebeam and/or Salesforce is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including excel and familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills required
- Must be able to work at project jobsites throughout the DFW/North Texas/Houston as needed
- Willingness to travel outside of DFW/North TX/Houston area a plus
