Neapco is seeking a results-driven individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Sales. The Senior Manager, Sales will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing strategic sales management for the global Neapco sales team.
This position will report to the Vice President, Sales, Americas and is based at our World Headquarters & Technical Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan . Key Responsibilities
- Lead in developing and implementing customer strategy, incorporating specific targets to pursue
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing people and people development
- Responsible for customer communications and concerns
- Ensures compliance on customer deliverables and company metrics, such as revenue and profit
- Act as lead negotiator
- Builds positive relationships with key internal and external customer groups, such as purchasing, engineering, and program management
- Provides timely communication of customer program requirements throughout all internal functional teams
- Ensures accuracy of contract pricing and maintains tracking of change control activity corresponding pricing/tooling impact
- Ensures customer requests are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
- Leads quote process and sales team for engineering changes and new business opportunities, incorporating company strategies and metrics
- Partners with the program management team in order to maintain continuous knowledge of project status
- Communicates customer and Neapco processes and procedures, ensuring they are adhered to
- Manage pricing strategies to ensure project profitability and corporate objectives are met.
- Assists with developing pricing proposals and strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills
- Must be able to oversee the management of programs and take responsibility for critical programs based on large sales volume and/or strategic importance.
- Ability to lead and develop people
- 7+ years’ experience within Accounting, Engineering, Sales, or Operations
- High level of initiative, with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Motivated self-starter, goal oriented, persistent, and a skilled negotiator
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think on a strategic level
- Knowledge of powertrain products and processes preferred (half shafts, driveshafts, and transmissions a plus)
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability in process/procedure development
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, with a high level of Excel knowledge
- Flexibility to travel globally Education
