St. Mary’s Health System is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician (.8 FTE) to join our dynamic and collaborative Emergency Department in Lewiston, Maine. - 22 modern exam rooms
- Advanced, updated equipment
- Emergency Medicine-trained physicians
- Daily coverage from experienced PAs and NPs
- Strong nursing support and interdisciplinary collaboration You will practice in a setting where subspecialty support is readily available , including Surgery, Cardiology, Hospital Medicine, Pediatrics, Neurology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, and Psychiatry. Dedicated Behavioral Health Emergency Services Unlike many community EDs, St. Mary’s offers a separate, dedicated behavioral/mental health emergency department staffed with psychiatric nurse practitioners, specialized nurses, and support staff — along with inpatient child/adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and chemical dependency services. This structure allows for safer, more efficient care for all patients. National Recognition in Geriatric Emergency Care St. Mary’s Emergency Department has earned Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians . This national recognition reflects our commitment to delivering thoughtful, coordinated emergency care tailored specifically to older adults — an increasingly vital part of Emergency Medicine.
