Awake Overnight - Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Mankato, MN Job Purpose : As an Awake Overnight Direct Support Professional, you'll help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities during overnight hours. This role requires remaining awake for the entire shift to monitor health and safety, respond to individual needs or emergencies, and provide reassurance when needed.
Responsibilities
may also include assisting with personal care, completing required documentation, and maintaining a clean, secure home. Every overnight shift is an opportunity to provide compassionate, person-centered support that helps individuals feel safe and valued. Schedule: Typically, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend. Location: Mankato, MN Wage: Staff can receive up to $19.00 per hour , with the full breakdown below.
- $18.00 per hour for full-time and part-time employees.
- All awake overnight shifts will receive an additional $1.00 per hour for direct care hours worked.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must hold a valid United States driver's license and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier unless otherwise noted.
- Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to complete daily direct care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, and changing. What you’ll do:
- Keep individuals safe and supported throughout the night.
- Turn your night‑owl habits into meaningful, paid work.
- Lend a hand with personal care tasks when required.
- Cheer people on as they pursue what matters to them.
- Help set the stage for a positive start to the day.
- Be a strong voice for those who rely on you.
