Overview
The JDE Programmer/Analyst is a hybrid technical and functional role responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications.
Responsibilities
This position combines hands-on development and technical troubleshooting with functional analysis, user support, and participation in business process improvements.
- Design and program all object types in JD Edwards, including: NER, BSFN, UBE, APPL, BSVW, DSTR, BI Publisher, Orchestrator, RPG, UDO.
- System administration of IBM AS400 and iSeries
- Improve product quality and team member efficiency through developing, configuring and testing software for new and existing applications.
- Design new and explain existing applications by analyzing, defining and documenting workflow, logical processes, and system to system interfaces.
- Collaborate with end users to provide programming and database insight and support for business applications and code changes.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve our users’ satisfaction and productivity.
- Manage and coordinate project resources, seeing software development through the entire project life cycle.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, propose solution(s) to technical problems and leverage the resources necessary to implement solutions.
- Manage projects, change requests, and incidents as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of JDE development tools, system configurations, and end‑to‑end business processes. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3–5+ years of hands-on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience (development, technical support, or functional analysis)
- Experience with core JDE development toolsets: RDA, FDA, TDA, OMW, NER, Business Functions
- Functional support experience across at least one major business area:(e.g., Distribution, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, Inventory)
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and providing day‑to‑day application support
- Experience creating and maintaining UDOs (Queries, Watchlists, E1 Pages, Orchestrations, Form Extensions)
- Experience with JDE security concepts and role-based access
- Familiarity with batch job scheduling and scheduler maintenance PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 5–7+ years total JDE experience for roles that lean more senior
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. REQUIRED SKILLS

- Understanding of JDE table structures and data flow
- Basic SQL skills
- Experience creating and maintaining UDOs (queries, watchlists, E1 Pages, form extensions.
- Application support and analysis (troubleshooting, functional analysis)
- Working knowledge of JDE security (Roles, permissions, user setup)
- Ability to write clear technical and functional documents
- Familiarity with change management processes
