HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Waterford, CT. Pay:  $35 - $45 per hour (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including:  Medical, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Life and disability insurance, and 401(k)

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install commercial HVAC sheet metal systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Lay out, measure, and mark materials for fabrication and installation.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including shears, brakes, presses, and forming rolls.
• Coordinate work with supervisors, team members, and other trades.
• Train and mentor apprentices as needed.
• Maintain required trade licenses and certifications.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Connecticut SM2 Sheet Metal License required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience .
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
