Job description

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Description: Purpose The   Radiology   Technologist   provides   clinical   diagnostic imaging   service s , support, navigation & / or solutions   aligned with the tot al peri-operative process   in accordance with   level of experience, education ,   policies / procedures / protocols   /   standards   & established criteria . Work Focus :   P erforms   clinical   support   activities   (direct)   for   patient s   within the “scope of pr actice” laws   &   training received ;   Cares for   patients   safely   by assisting in   clinical care   services   or engaging in   administrative   activities   ( e.g., maintaining records or supplies)   that enhance   or improve   coordination , preparation & flow   of   the care experience .

Maintains a working knowledge   of applicable   f ederal, state   &   local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity   &   Compliance Program   &   Code of   C onduct, as well as other policies ,   procedures   & guidelines   in order to   ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior   & safe work practices . Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression) Tech   / Support   III – skilled :   Licensed   role (direct   healthcare)   that   plans, organizes &   prioritizes workflow   diagnostic   imaging processes   & procedures;   Ensures   safe,   efficient & effective   condition /   use of imaging equipment ;   Provides   imaging   services   to patients   a s   directed b y   the Director of Nursing / Medical Director /   attending physician practi tioner ; E xplains procedure to patient, answers questions & o btain s   consent prior to   initiation;   Applies age-specific   care practices;   Ensures   &   /   or   assists   documentation   &   details   records   are   kept ;   P erforms essential duties   & techniques   appropriate to role   /   function   / procedure ;   Participates in quality improvement processes ;   May serve as a resource (lead), role model &   /   or mentor.

Minimum Qualifications

H igh   S chool diploma or GED;   Graduate of an   approved / accredited School of Radiology Technology;   Current   Radiographer   License   in the state of   practice   assignment;   At least   one   ( 1 )   year   radiology technician ; E xperience   with C-arm & portable x-ray equipment .
